Pousada Trijunção

Mambai, Cerrado

This property has an amazing location in the heart of the Cerrado biome, a region known for its biodiversity and untouched natural beauty. The lodge’s design is minimalist and eco-conscious, blending seamlessly with its environment. Its architecture reflects a deep respect for the surrounding landscape, making it both a sanctuary and a launching point for exploration of the Grande Sertão Veredas National Park.

The guest rooms, including spacious suites and a private villa, are designed with both comfort and style in mind. Warm wood accents, ceiling beams and creative decorative details meet cotton sheets, flat screen TVs and a/c. In between sunrise and sunset wildlife adventures, find yourself some time to deeply unwind at the property´s swimming pool and wooden hot tub.

This small luxury property, nestled in the heart of the forest, offers a wonderful mix of nature, comfort, adventure and peace. Located right on the black waters of the Río Negro, you can enjoy a swim from the floating bar or relax on the deck, contemplating the serene views. Thanks to the river’s unique high acidity, mosquitoes are few and far between. Don’t miss climbing the viewpoint for 360° panoramas over the forest and National Park! The latest addition, Villa Bacurau, is ideal for families with its two suites, cool mezzanine lounge and swimming pool deck surrounded by jungle green. We love how it has a cozy jungle vibe while still feeling spacious. Opt to arrive by float plane from Manaus and you`ll be rewarded with incredible views of the river archipelago, plus you’ll save a couple of hours on the journey.

Pousada Trijunção, located at the border of the states of Bahia, Goiás, and Minas Gerais, was founded in 1995 with a focus on sustainability, community development, and biodiversity conservation. With 33,000 hectares, over 90% of its land remains preserved, and 12,000 hectares are integrated into the Grande Sertão Veredas National Park, forming a biological corridor that provides a sanctuary for vulnerable species like the Giant Anteater, Maned Wolf, and Jaguar.

The lodge prioritizes eco-friendly practices with solar water heating, LED lighting, and the use of reclaimed wood in construction. Locally sourced food from the farm's vegetable garden and clay-filtered water refills help reduce plastic waste. The gift shop supports small artisans through the Artesol cooperative, aligning with regenerative tourism principles. The staff is largely composed of local residents, further promoting sustainable livelihoods in the region.
